Ingredients:

  1. Ragi flour (Finger Millet Flour): 2 cups
  2. Jaggery: 1 cup, grated
  3. Desi ghee: 2 tbsp
  4. Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp
  5. Coconut powder: 1/2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat a thick-bottomed pan on low flame and dry roast the ragi flour, stirring continuously to avoid burning, until it releases a nutty aroma and turns slightly darker.
  2. Add the desi ghee to the roasted ragi flour and continue stirring for a couple of minutes until well combined.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Add the grated jaggery and cardamom powder, mixing thoroughly until the jaggery melts and combines well with the flour.
  4. While the mixture is still warm, take small portions and shape them into ladoos using your palms.
  5. Roll each ladoo in coconut powder for a festive finishing touch.
